With almost 40 years of experience, Soni Engineering Works has been delivering biscuit production machinery to customers worldwide. While working on diverse projects, we have gained valuable insight into the reasons that international biscuit factories fail. In many cases, production challenges are not related to the biscuits themselves, but rather to incorrect equipment selection, unsuitable environmental conditions, or inappropriate team training. Our export solutions provide the necessary support so that production operates successfully within the customer’s facility.
When we begin an export project, the first step is to conduct a technical consultation and a feasibility assessment prior to recommending the optimal biscuit production system. The consultation would include an evaluation of factors such as the company’s production targets, raw materials, the local power infrastructure, and the range of biscuits to be manufactured. For example, a soft dough line configured to operate efficiently at one humidity level will not perform as well in a different environment. This discussion must take place before the equipment arrives and is installed. This ensures production risks, project delays and avoidable economic expenses are kept to a minimum.
As part of our export package, Soni Engineering Works provides factory layout planning for its clients. The layout is designed after taking into consideration the specific configuration of the production lines, the flow of materials from the receipt of raw ingredients to the dispatch of packaged goods, the clearance required for maintenance access, and the capacity needed for an additional line if the business expands. By designing the layout around the equipment, we eliminate the need for retrofitting or making modifications after the equipment has been installed.
This is one of the most commonly underestimated areas by buyers. Running a biscuit line - maintaining consistent dough quality, controlling proper bake temperatures and minimising waste during the forming process- requires qualified operators, not just unskilled manpower placed in front of the equipment. We offer on-site production management assistance for the initial production cycles, including operator training, establishment of quality benchmarks, and making any essential modifications that are commonly required during this phase. We also provide international clients with documentation that gives their production supervisors independence and direction after Soni Engineering Works’ personnel have exited the facility.
Every project will include installation and commissioning. Equipment is not shipped until the site is confirmed to be ready for installation, ensuring smooth execution.
There are several aspects to consider: line configuration, client’s team experience level, etc. There is no single number of days that is associated with any project – this will be confirmed in the consultation.
Yes, factory layout will be completed for both greenfield projects and retrofits. The evaluation phase of assessing material flow and layout placement will be the same, as will determining maintenance access.
You can do this by contacting Soni Engineering Works directly. We will review your initial requirements, production goals and site conditions before proposing any solution.
